GMP Securities' Equity Capital Markets group coordinates the firm's new issue practice.

We are responsible for the overall marketing, distribution and allocation of new issues, initial public offerings, special warrants and private placements both internally and with other investment dealers.

Our marketing objective is to generate strong demand through GMP’s broad distribution channels. We seek to consistently:
  • increase the profile of issuers through our distribution capabilities;
  • target syndicate members that can offer excellent execution and provide research coverage;
  • work with company management to tactically price each offering to the benefit of the company and its new retail and institutional investors; and
  • maintain solid post-offering relationships with the issuing company.
