Our Investment Banking team has extensive experience in raising capital for corporate clients both domestically and internationally. Our services range from simple equity issues to highly complex, structured finance solutions. Ultimately, we seek to find a structure that maximizes flexibility and minimizes costs for our corporate clients.
The team also provides clients with assistance in managing their communication with the market, both as a transaction occurs and beyond. The team's scope of activities is designed to help our clients succeed in ever-changing financing environments.
Our strength has been the underwriting of equity and equity-like securities and the distribution of such securities to institutional investors. Since inception in 1995, GMP has participated in over $55 billion of equity underwriting transactions, and has acted as a bookrunner on more than $10 billion of these transactions, which have historically focused in the oil and gas, mining, technology and communications sectors in Canada.
